Preparation

  1. Prepare the rice. Look at our rice preparation or use your rice cooker. Prepare the rice properly.

  2. Mix the spicy sesame sauce now with the following ingredients: 0.5 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp water, 1 pinch of salt. First put the sauce aside. You later pour it into your Soboro Don.

  3. Finely chop the garlic clove and fry it in a pan. After about 2 minutes, add the minced meat. Add 1 tbsp Mirin, 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp sugar to the pan. 

  4. Now roast the minced meat until it is cooked. This will take about 5-6 minutes. 

  5. Separate an egg on a plate and divide the egg yolk from the egg whites. For this court, only the yolk is needed. 

  6. Now serve the cooked rice in a bowl, put the minced meat on top, drizzle the spring onion over it, put the egg yolk gently on the minced meat and finish the dish with the sauce. Mix everything and enjoy the delicious Soboro Don.

    Soboro Don is a variant of the Japanese Donburi. Donburi are dishes with rice and a tasty topping. This dish is made with minced meat and a spicy sauce. If you do not like pork, you can replace it with beef or chicken. Nothing changes at the sauce. Just try it out and find your personal Soboro Don.

    Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites

    Here only the raw egg yolk is consumed. This is harmless with fresh eggs. If you still have some doubts, then grab fresh organic eggs. Separate the egg yolk from the egg whites in a classic way in the eggshell or use a pushable plastic bottle by first pressing in the clean bottle, holding the opening over the egg yolk and bringing the bottle to stretch again. This will only pull the egg yolk into the bottle. While there are some more gadgets that will help you separating yolks and egg whites, the plastic bottle is the simplest and cheapest gadget.
