Preparation

First, mix all the seasoning ingredients in a bowl (bean paste, mirin, miso, sesame oil and depending on your taste, oyster sauce and soy sauce, corn starch and water).

Cut the spring onions into small pieces.

Cut the tofu into small cubes.

Chop the garlic and ginger into small cubes.

Now heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic and ginger - just don't let them burn.

Now add the minced meat - divide it roughly with a wooden spoon and fry it until it is well done.

Now you add the seasoning sauce to the meat and mix everything well.

When the sauce starts to simmer, add the tofu.

Stir carefully so that the tofu is not too crushed.

Sprinkle the spring onions over the Mapo Tofu and you're done!

Arrange the Mapo Tofu on a bed of rice. Enjoy your meal!
