    Introduction to Korean cuisine

    What makes Korean food so special? The food culture has a high value in Korea. It's not without reason that Koreans like to greet each other with "Bab Meogeosseo?", which means something like "Have you eaten?

    The Korean attaches great importance to a balanced diet with excellent taste. Care is taken to ensure that all five tastes (salty, sweet, hot, sour and bitter) are present at a meal.     The side dishes are one of the highlights, because they make a meal particularly varied. Many Korean restaurants serve free of charge side dishes to accompany a main order, such as cabbage/ radish or cucumber kimchi, salads, vegetables, fish and even meat bites. As you can see, there is actually much more to write about Korean cuisine.

    Variety and taste

    In Korean food culture, it is common to have several side dishes with the main course. Therefore, in Korean restaurants, several side dishes are served in addition to the main order. In South Korea, side dishes often differ from main course to main course, region and season. In coastal regions, fish or seafood - Banchan is often served, but what should not be missing is Kimchi, which is why we present several Kimchi recipes on our blog.
