A generous Chinese banquet fills the frame, centered on a big stainless steel pot of fiery red broth loaded with tender white fish, bean sprouts, scallions, and fresh cilantro. A twisted metal handle arches over the rim, and the chili oil glistens across the surface. This is the kind of Sichuan-style boiled fish that anchors the table at Pak Choi in Frankfurt. Around the pot, the rest of the spread is laid out for sharing: plates of plain steamed rice, one served in a metal tray with a spoon resting in it, a stir-fry of greens and celery tossed with dried chilies, a crispy fried dish with peppers, and small bowls of pickled vegetable sides and bean sprouts at the edges. Everything sits on a dark wooden table under warm restaurant lighting, giving the meal a cozy, family-style feel.

This Chinese restaurant in Frankfurt is widely praised for its authentic, flavorful dishes, generous portions, and great value for money. Favorites include sweet and sour pork, mapo tofu, fried aubergine, and spicy tofu dishes. Many reviewers compare the food favorably to meals they’ve had in China or Korea. The restaurant is known for its quick service, friendly staff, and cozy yet bustling atmosphere, though it can get very busy, so reservations are recommended. It's especially ideal for group dining, as the large menu encourages sharing. A clear favorite among locals and visitors alike.

    PakChoi Gericht

A white oval platter holds a mound of crispy fried chicken, golden and craggy from a seasoned batter, tossed with sliced green celery or peppers, whole dried red chilies, and flecks of chili flakes and garlic. The dish sits on a dark wood restaurant table, with warm low lighting suggesting an evening meal. This is a typical Sichuan-style dry-fried chicken served at Pak Choi, a Chinese restaurant in Frankfurt am Main.

    PakChoi Gericht

A white oval plate holds a heap of Chinese cold appetizer: thin, curled strips of pig ear glazed in reddish chili oil, tossed with slivers of green pepper, celery, cilantro, and scattered sesame seeds. The strips glisten, their translucent layers catching the light, and a small pool of dressing collects at the edge of the plate. At the upper left, a metal bowl of steamed white rice slides into the frame, and the whole meal sits on a dark restaurant table. The dish reads as a textural, spicy starter at a Chinese restaurant, with the rice waiting alongside.

A generous Chinese meal spread across a dark table at Pak Choi in Frankfurt. The centerpiece is a large stainless steel pot on a white plate, filled with a fiery red broth crowded with bean sprouts, celery, leafy greens, and pieces of fish, a metal ladle resting inside. Around it sit plates of steamed white rice, including a big shareable portion in a metal bowl with a serving spoon. Smaller dishes round out the table: a bowl of cold bean sprout and shredded salad flecked with chili, a plate of stir-fried greens with peppers, another dish with a chili-topped fish or meat preparation, a blue-and-white patterned cup, and a glass of dark soda. Someone in a patterned jacket sits across the table, mostly cropped out of frame, in the warm indoor light of the dining room.

    Pak Choi

    PakChoi Gericht

Night view of Pak Choi, a Chinese restaurant on a Frankfurt street, seen from across the road. The street-level facade glows warmly, with two large windows flanking a dark wooden entrance door where a person in dark clothes is stepping inside. Through the glass you can see diners seated at tables, green bamboo stalks in the left window, and leafy plants arranged along both sills. Two lantern-style wall lamps light the doorway, and a small menu board stands next to it. The upper facade is a plain salmon-colored plaster with a bit of wear, and a bicycle leans against the wall at the right edge of the frame. The overall feel is of a cozy, busy neighborhood eatery on an ordinary evening.
