Preparation
-
First prepare the toppings: The sauce and the crushed sesame seeds. Just mix the sauce with soy sauce, gochujang, gochugaru, rice vinegar and sugar. I use kitchen scales for the sauce! because the ratio should be perfect :).
-
The sesame seeds should be roasted! You can already buy roasted sesame seeds in almost every Asian supermarket or even in German supermarkets. Make sure that they are roasted. If you only get normal sesame seeds, roast them without oil for about 1 minute!
-
The roasted sesame seeds should now be ground. Either in a mortar or in a bag and you press the seeds finely with something solid. Put the sesame seed powder aside.
-
Now cook the somyeon. Put the desired amount of somyeon in unsalted boiling water as soon as it boils, add 100ml of cold water, as soon as it boils again, add about 100ml of cold water again and when it boils again, take out the noodles and rinse the noodles with ice-cold water and wash them. They should be cold.
-
Now you can serve the somyeon. Put the desired amount of noodles, sauce and sesame seed powder in a bowl, drizzle enough sesame oil over it (1-2 tablespoons sesame oil) and mix.
-
As a garnish you can use roasted seaweed (gim) and a boiled egg. Fulminant :)
