Buchim Garu is a Korean baking mix used for the well-known side dish "Jeon". These Korean pancakes are served with vegetables and not sweet ingredients as a delicious side dish.

This baking mix is used by Koreans instead of normal wheat flour and differs rather in the composition of different types of flour and spices. You can buy Buchim Garu already produced in Korean supermarkets or make it yourself and store it in a cool and dry place. For the preparation of Jeon I recommend to use Buchim Garu in any case.     If I don't have Rice or Wheat Flour
    can I just use all purpose flour?

      Hi Christine,
      of ourse you can you all purpose flour, but it will not result in the real taste. Buchim Garu is a Flour Mix and has a special taste, made with different kinds of flour and spices. It is the same with cakemix :)
      
      First you can try with all purpose flour and add some pepper, salt and other spices you want. When u start to use buchim garu reguary i recommend you to buy wheat and rice flour :)
