만하임에 꼭 필요한 곳

저는 개인적인 이유로 만하임에 자주 가는데, 만하임과 라인-네카 지역에서 한 가지가 늘 아쉬웠어요. 바로 제대로 된 아시아 음식, 더 정확하게는 중국 요리를 먹을 수 있는 곳이 부족하다는 점입니다. 아침, 점심, 저녁 언제든지 아시아 레스토랑에서 식사하는 걸 정말 좋아해요. 안타깝게도 만하임에는 그렇게 많고 맛있는 아시아 레스토랑이 없어요. 지금까지 알려진 곳은 만하임 시내의 “Asia Food Ichi”라는 레스토랑이죠. 그 외에 약간 괜찮은 한국 식당이 하나 더 있지만, 정말 맛있는 곳이 많지 않습니다! 아마도 저는 뒤셀도르프와 그 주변에서 아시아 음식의 사치를 누렸던 것 같네요.

그런데 이제 만하임에 아주 맛있는 새로운 중국 레스토랑이 오픈했어요. “Yi Xiang Yuan”은 만하임의 쿼드란트 M4,5에 위치한 새로운 중국 식당으로, 정통 누들 수프와 면 요리에 특화되어 있습니다. 그 외에도 몇 가지 밥 요리와 작은 사이드 메뉴도 있어요. 대부분의 요리는 중국 요리 혹은 홍콩 스타일의 요리고, 일부 일본식과 한국식 요리도 조금 있습니다. 하지만 저는 중국 요리나 홍콩 요리 중에서 선택하는 걸 추천해요. 오픈한지 얼마 되지 않았지만 이미 13가지의 면 요리를 모두 먹어봤습니다.

면은 직접 만듭니다

정말 잘하는 누들바만의 특별함은 바로 면을 신선하게 직접 만드는 거죠. Yi Xiang Yuan에서는 매일 면을 신선하게 준비해서 정말 쫄깃하고, 맛이 풍부하며, 포만감이 듬뿍 들어요! 완벽해요! 레시피마다 면이 잘 어울리도록 되어 있다고 생각해요.

Yi Xiang Yuan의 메뉴는 아주 크진 않아요. 만하임의 이 중국 레스토랑은 총 13가지 누들 요리와 8가지 밥 요리를 제공합니다. 여기에 몇 가지 사이드 메뉴가 더해지고, 가끔씩 일주일간만 맛볼 수 있는 스페셜 메뉴도 있어요. 메인 사진에는 맛있는 찐빵을 골랐는데, 돼지고기 소로 채운 만두입니다. 아주 맛있어요.
그리고 특별히 추천하고 싶은 중국 음료 2가지가 있는데, 바로 쌀 음료와 스파클링 밀크입니다. 이 두 음료는 중국에서 인기 있는 시원한 음료로, 방문 시 꼭 한 번 마셔보는 걸 추천합니다. 주문하면 추가로 새콤하게 절인 작은 샐러드도 함께 제공돼요.

작고 아담한 중국 레스토랑 “Yi Xiang Yuan”은 만하임 도심 한가운데에 좋은 자리를 잡았습니다. 만하임 대학 근처에 있어 학생들에게도 점심시간에 좋은 선택지가 됩니다. 모든 메뉴가 중국에서 온 것은 아니지만, 음식 자체가 매우 맛있고 가격도 착합니다. 게다가 맛있는 면을 직접 만들기 때문에 면 요리가 더욱 완성됩니다. 저는 여기서 꼭 면 요리를 드셔보시길 추천해요. 특히 맛있었던 것은 N4번: 양고기 국물이 들어간 누들수프, N8번: 진한 소스가 곁들여진 자장면, 그리고 N12번: 사천식 매운 면입니다.

10/10 : 이 아시아 레스토랑은 만하임에 드디어 진짜 중국 레스토랑을 하나 더 선보였습니다. 굳이 서양 입맛만을 겨냥하지 않는다는 점이 좋아요. 가격 대비 품질도 뛰어나고, 지금까지 먹어본 모든 면요리의 맛이 다 훌륭했어요. 만하임이나 라인-네카 지역에서 이만큼의 경험을 제공하는 곳은 지금까지 없었습니다(혹시 있다면 알려주세요). 독일 사람들에게는 생소한 메뉴판이 조금 부담스러울 수 있지만, 그럴 땐 친절한 직원에게 묻고 추천을 받으시면 됩니다. 참고로 이 평가는 제 개인 의견이며, 아시아 요리에 관심이 많다는 점도 감안해 주세요 :) 다음에 만하임 시내에 가신다면 꼭 한번 들러 보시길 바랍니다. 중국 레스토랑 Yi Xiang Yuan에서 좋은 시간 되시길!
