SKS Asia Markt Duisburg
Mercato asiatico
This is a placeholder graphic rather than an actual photograph. A plain light gray background fills the whole frame, with a simple dark gray camera icon in the center. Below the icon, the German text "Kein Bild vorhanden" appears in large italic letters, which translates to "No image available." It is the kind of stand-in image shown when a real photo is missing or fails to load.

Customers praise this small but well-stocked Asian market in Duisburg for its quality Indian and broader Asian groceries, fair prices and genuine atmosphere. Shoppers highlight a wide array of spices, noodles, fresh vegetables and specialty items—from ginger beer to Peking duck—that are often cheaper than downtown competitors. Friendly, helpful staff regularly share cooking tips and recipe ideas, and long opening hours make it a go-to spot for both everyday meals and special-occasion ingredients. While narrow aisles and occasional stock shortages of fresh produce can feel cramped, most agree that the convenience and value more than make up for it.
The store also serves as a DPD parcel pickup point, which adds mixed reviews to the overall experience. Some customers appreciate the one-stop convenience, but others report unfriendly behavior, strict ID checks and occasional delays in parcel handling. To avoid frustration, it’s best to check opening times for package collection, carry valid identification and inspect receipts carefully before leaving. Despite these service hiccups, regulars keep returning for the market’s solid product range, reasonable prices and authentic community vibe.
