ओशिमा – तोजिंबो के पास
ओशिमा, तोजिंबो के पास स्थित एक छोटा सा द्वीप है। ये द्वीप पुल के जरिए मुख्य भूमि से जुड़ा है और जापानी सागर के शानदार नज़ारे पेश करता है। मैं खुद को इस द्वीप पर जाने से रोक नहीं पाया और इसकी सुंदरता से अभिभूत हो गया।

फुकुई किला (福井城 - Fukui-jō)
फुकुई किला 1600 ईस्वी में टोकुगावा इयासु के दूसरे पुत्र यूकी हिदेयासु द्वारा बनाया गया था। इसके मुख्य टॉवर की ऊँचाई 37 मीटर थी, लेकिन 1619 में आग लगने के कारण ये नष्ट हो गया और दोबारा नहीं बना। मेजी रेस्टोरेशन के बाद किले की इमारतें तोड़ दी गईं और बाहरी खाई को भी भर दिया गया। इसलिए आज आप यहाँ सिर्फ़ खाई और मुख्य टॉवर की नींव देख सकते हैं।

मुझे APA होटल फुकुई में ठहरने का मौका मिला और कहना पड़ेगा, मैं काफी संतुष्ट था। यह होटल भले ही बिजनेस होटल है, इसलिए ये सबसे ज्यादा लग्जरी नहीं देता, मगर कीमत बेहद किफायती है। यह स्टेशन से थोड़ा दूर है, लेकिन वहाँ तक पैदल जाना वाकई अच्छा अनुभव रहा। दुर्भाग्यवश, होटल अभी अस्थायी रूप से बंद है (स्थिति मई 2023), मगर जब ये फिर से खुले तो अवश्य ठहरे।
अगर आप सस्ते और सुविधाजनक ठहराव की तलाश में हैं, तो मैं निश्चित रूप से APA होटल फुकुई की सिफारिश करता हूँ। यह फुकुई और उसके आसपास के दर्शनीय स्थलों की खोज के लिए एकदम उपयुक्त प्रारंभिक बिंदु है।
