A Korean spread fills a light wooden table at Yogi in Düsseldorf. In the foreground sits a wide dark bowl of glazed fried chicken in a glossy red sauce, buried under a tall mound of shredded scallion. Behind it, a black platter on a wooden board holds stir-fried meat with onions, also finished with sliced green onion. Around the two mains are bowls of white rice, small dishes of kimchi and pickled sides, and metal chopsticks resting at each edge of the table. Warm lighting gives the meal a cozy, just-served look.

A cast iron plate of Korean stir-fried beef takes center stage, piled with softened onions, mushrooms, sesame seeds, and a bright knot of sliced green onion on top. The dark sizzling plate rests on a light wooden serving board, with steam still rising off the meat. Around it the table is set Korean style: a bowl of glazed fried pieces topped with a tangle of shredded cabbage and sprouts, a mound of white rice in a black bowl, and several small banchan dishes holding kimchi, pickled radish, and cold sides. In the background, a diner in dark clothing holds a glass of pale yellow drink over a white saucer. The warm wood table and moody lighting fit the cozy interior of Yogi, a Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf.

A tall, glossy pile of Korean fried chicken sits front and center in a wide black bowl, its sticky dark-red glaze dotted with sesame seeds and crowned with an airy mound of shredded scallion that rises well above the rim. The bowl rests on a pale wooden table at Yogi, a Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf, with a softly lit blue wall behind it. Around the main dish, the rest of the meal is still visible: a black bowl of rice, a dark plate of stir-fried meat topped with green onion, and small side dishes including a slice of roasted pumpkin. The shallow depth of field keeps the chicken sharp while the surrounding plates blur into the warm restaurant scene.

Sabor
