Online Reviews Summary

This Vietnamese eatery in Riem Arcaden consistently earns praise for its outstanding dishes, from silky, aromatic pho and hearty bún chả to fragrant chicken curry and Bún Nem Rán Hà Nội. Reviewers—both first-timers and self-confessed pho snobs—highlight the fresh, high-end ingredients and generous portions, noting that even late-night visits yield the same level of flavor and quality. Udon noodles and spring rolls also come in for special mention, and the seasonal menu updates keep regulars eagerly returning. Although the restaurant is compact and often buzzing—especially during trade fairs and weekend evenings—diners applaud the attentive, friendly service and relaxed vibe of the shopping-center setting. Outdoor seating adds a casual charm, and most advise booking a table about an hour in advance to avoid long waits. Staff are happy to share recommendations, ensuring newcomers feel welcome and well guided. Prices tend toward the mid-range but are viewed as fair given the top-notch preparation and portion sizes. Easy access by public transport and late-night opening hours make it a convenient choice for both quick lunches and leisurely dinners. Whether you’re craving authentic Vietnamese street-food flavors or simply want a reliable bowl of pho, this spot comes highly recommended.

Vietnamese food in Munich - Thi Minh

Thi Minh is a Vietnamese restaurant near the trade fair in Munich. In my opinion, the restaurant offers an authentic Vietnamese atmosphere that has adapted to the German style. Beautiful and brightly decorated rooms with friendly and courteous waiters attract customers to the establishment. A look at the menu showed that it is not a cheap Chinese takeaway with fried noodles, but a mid-range restaurant.

    Summary

Overall, the food was very tasty, the price was reasonable and the restaurant was very pleasant. Unfortunately, the desired dishes were not in stock, although there was no large crowd (trade fair or similar event).

Thi Minh - a classic Pho ordered

I happened to be in Munich for a trade fair and wanted to try out the Vietnamese cuisine right away. Since I generally love Asian food, we went there. Basically, it is important to me that it is not an All You Can Eat Sushi or a cheap Chinese takeaway.

As already mentioned, the shop and the menu looked very appealing from the outside. So we went in and ordered a classic Pho right away. This is very popular in Vietnam and can be found in almost every Vietnamese restaurant. We also wanted to order a certain spring roll plate, which was unfortunately no longer available. Instead, we got an alternative, which included 4 sauces, various rolls and mango strips salad. The sweet and sour like sauces went perfectly with the spring rolls. There were also two summer rolls, which consist of a soft rice shell. Finally, we wanted to order a Vietnamese beer, which wasn't available, and we got a German one instead. Despite the small disappointments, the food was very delicious and we could enjoy it  super. The Pho with its herbs and the thin meat with the rolls together filled us pleasantly and did not give us a feeling of fullness, as would be the case with a döner kebab for example. For this you take in a lot of nutrients and still feel quite fit after eating. The feeling in the restaurant wasn't directly like in the restaurant, but also not like in the takeaway. It was more a mix of both. The price was also adjusted accordingly.

    Our conclusion

Personally, I had a very good experience with Thi Minh and would also like to eat there again if I'm ever in Munich again. The Pho with its tender meat went very well as a main course. All the spring rolls we ordered as sides were super delicious. The crisp and crunchy of the rolls has stayed in my mind especially. So if you want to eat Vietnamese food, this is an ideal opportunity.
