    Summary

China House offers two different menus, one for authentic Chinese cuisine and one for the "standard" dishes that are also found in other typical Chinese restaurants in Germany. Especially for children or people who are not (yet) familiar with Chinese tastes, I think it is a great thing. That's why I ate there twice and tested both menus separately.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in Düsseldorf, then you should definitely check out this restaurant.

    1st Visit - what I ordered

On my first visit, I tried the authentic cuisine and ordered rice wrapped in leaves, as well as a noodle soup with meat and vegetables. I had a jasmine tea with it. The soup was a little spicy, but super delicious and very well seasoned (not like the noodle soups you know from the "standard" restaurants). I was also impressed by the tea, because it was brewed with real jasmine blossoms. While I am not an expert on Chinese cuisine, I know some dishes from my visit to China. The slightly higher price is justified by the high quality of the food and drinks.

    2nd Visit - what I ordered

On my second visit, I ordered the typical dish - duck with vegetables and sauce - and a Wan-Tan soup. It tasted good, definitely better than at a Chinese takeaway, but of course it can't compete with the original Chinese cuisine in terms of taste. However, it is a great alternative for people who don't like the taste or spices of Chinese cuisine so much. It is also a great place to go as a group and be sure that everyone finds something they like.

    My Conclusion

The restaurant has something for every taste and is perfect for larger groups. It is large so that many people can find space and the waiters are very friendly. I spent two nice days there with delicious food.
