Table of contents:
Korean barbecue is becoming increasingly popular in Germany and is ideal for larger groups. Here, guests grill their own meat fresh on a charcoal grill built into each table.
BBQ 4 U – Getting There
The restaurant is easily accessible by car and public transport. The ambience is relaxing and the premises offer plenty of space. For about 18 euros per person (excluding drinks) you can enjoy unlimited different kinds of meat and seafood, as well as an additional buffet with side dishes, soup and rice. Among the side dishes you will find Kimchi, Kimbap, seaweed salad and many other Korean dishes. The wafer-thin meat is unfortunately not fresh, but even when previously frozen, it is really tasty. Here you can see glass noodles, some Kimchi and a sweet and crunchy bean sprout salad.
You can fill the ceramic table with all kinds of side dishes. The grill handle is also easily accessible from all sides. My personal highlight is the probably homemade sauce, which takes the dining experience to another level.
My Conclusion:
Barbecue 4 U is definitely worth a visit. You have a wide variety of choices and can choose from beef, lamb, pork to squid and other seafood. The price of 18 euros per person is justified when I consider that you can eat unlimitedly.
Overall rating 8/10 Brief summary: Korean BBQ with beef, pork, lamb and many seafood and fish, plus an additional buffet with rich side dishes. However, drinks are not included.
Comments
Hello, we were there last week. Unfortunately, we are not satisfied at all. The service staff immediately told us: "The buffet is empty. Too many people have eaten from it....!" Even after waiting for a while, the buffet was only restocked a little. Same with the drinks. Pils was no longer available afterward and for various other alcoholic drinks, we were simply told that they couldn't be found at the moment. Sorry, but we will not come back!
Hi Hanada, thank you very much for your feedback :) I hope the owners of the restaurant will come across our post and your comment sometime :) We also need to visit again and get an up-to-date impression :) Best regards Matthias
The BBQ4U has been called "Foodoor" for quite some time now. The "all you can eat" has been discontinued. Apparently, some groups overdid it. The buffet is still available, and as long as you don't show up right before closing time, it is fully stocked.
Hey Ralf, thanks for your info. I haven't been there in a very long time. I'll update that when I get the chance. Best, Matthias
