The preparation:

Prepare the sushi rice according to these instructions.

Use some plastic wrap, cut into square pieces, to shape the balls.

Now place your chosen toppings individually (salmon, mackerel, very thin cucumber slices, tuna, ...) in the middle of a piece of foil.

Place a small dab of wasabi on top of the topping. If you don't like wasabi, skip this step. You can also use mayonnaise or other thicker sauces.

A small amount of rice goes on top of the topping. Decide and try for yourself how much rice you want to use.

Now bring the four ends of the foil together so you can roll a ball. Press the ball together very firmly so that the round shape remains.

And there you have it, Temari Sushi is ready. As you can see, it's really very simple and easy to make. The toppings can of course be combined, the recipe image shows some of my chosen ingredients.

Preparation is really quick, the most time-consuming part of this recipe is probably just the preparation of the sushi rice. The advantage of this sushi over other sushi is its easy storage and round shape. Guests can simply take the small balls from the buffet plate and enjoy. In addition, the rice balls fit perfectly in bento boxes and can be taken anywhere.

How long can you eat Temari Sushi?
After you have prepared Temari Sushi, you should pay attention to how long a topping is durable. You should not store fish for more than 2 days. I'm not worried, though, because you'll be eating the sushi at the latest on the day you make it. Variants with vegetables, on the other hand, can be stored longer, but they still taste best fresh.
How much do the ingredients cost me?
This sushi is relatively inexpensive, because you can safely dispense with the sushi mat and the seaweed sheets. The ingredients are similar to those of normal sushi and can be freely chosen, and ultimately you decide how much the ingredients will cost you.
