Thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration! I also love using spicy Sriracha sauce to enhance my dishes. I cook Asian food almost every day :-) I will definitely try out your recipes soon!

Huhu Clara,
thanks for your kind words :) Hehe, Sriracha sauce is also one of my favorite sauces :D but only the one with the red cap :D Let us know which recipes you’ve tried and how they turned out :) I’m curious :) Best regards – Matthias

Finally, a useful site that provides information about Taro, including its use in Japanese cuisine. I have Taro in my garden and am now trying my first cooking experiments with this root. It also makes me curious about new recipes. Thank you very much.

Hello Christine,
thank you very much :) We’re really happy. We’re also thinking about recipes with taro. Let’s see which ones we can agree on :)

Moin you two,
I just read your page with interest and am interested in an outdoor grill for barbecue like in your photo "Korean BBQ....this is how you grill right." Is there a place where I can order such table grills online?
Best regards, Claudia

Hi Claudia,
such a grill would be perfect, but unfortunately, it isn't available to buy in Germany—I certainly haven't seen it yet.
In Korea, these simple versions of the tables are often just made from a large barrel, with a grill mounted on top using a frame and a bit of handiwork.
Best regards,
Matthias :)

I was born and raised in Kazakhstan. In my city, there were many Koreans and very often at bazaars and weekly markets there were Korean food stalls that used similar or even identical recipes. And every time I had to go to school, I would walk through the weekly market and buy myself a small breakfast bag with kimchi or he (Korean carrot salad). So I am familiar with the recipes and dishes. It's also worth mentioning that I cook all sorts of things myself and so I have made these recipes myself, and I am fascinated by these dishes and happy to see something like this again after 20 years. Simply great.

Hi Swetlana,
very nice story :) Personally, I always love it when Korean cuisine brings out memories and beautiful moments in people.
Ryu and I will definitely continue the blog forever and spread authentic Korean cuisine :)
Best regards,
Matthias

Hallo everyone,
While searching for healthy food, I discovered Japanese cuisine. What I noticed is that Düsseldorf, although it's the city of Japanese people abroad and there are many good restaurants that get super crowded at lunchtime and in the evening – so crowded that you have to wait a long time (even when it's snowing and bitterly cold) – is missing something. What I've seen with other Asians but not with Japanese people is street food. Or did I overlook something?
